Worship4all - All age service - Harvest Festival!

Sunday 4th October - St Mary's Church, Bolton-on-Swale
Worship4All - All Age Service - Harvest Festival - 10.30am
Please join us for our Harvest Festival — a joyful celebration as we give thanks for the crops safely gathered in. Together we thank God for the food we enjoy, and for all the hands, seasons, and blessings that help it grow.
We warmly invite you to bring donations of food to the service. All gifts will be shared with The Open Pantry, supporting those in our community who need a little extra help at the moment.
About The Open Pantry
The Open Pantry is our parish’s quiet, steady way of making sure no one in our community goes without the basics. It’s a simple, compassionate project: food donated by the congregation and wider village is shared and passed directly to individuals and families who need a little extra help. Every tin, every packet, every donation becomes a small act of love. It is faith with its sleeves rolled up..... It is the Gospel in grocery form.
The Open Pantry is our way of saying:
“You are seen. You are valued. You are not alone.”
What The Open Pantry Does
Open access, dignity, and confidence — plus emergency food support for local families in need.
Offers non‑judgemental, barrier‑free help — no forms, no referrals, just kindness and independence.
Works quietly and respectfully, ensuring dignity for everyone who receives support.
Uses every donation directly for community care: food parcels, essentials, and small household items.
What We Collect
Tinned meals (soups, stews, pasta, beans)
Rice, pasta, noodles
Tea, coffee, sugar
Cereals
Biscuits and treats
Toiletries (soap, shampoo, toothpaste)
Household essentials (washing‑up liquid, etc)
We also welcome money donations — they help us keep the Pantry stocked and ready for anyone who needs support.
